Shark & Orca Marine Press-On Nails

These orca press on nails are a stained-glass window of the sea: a pearl white base with a shimmer like the inside of a shell, and on it black orcas leaping, diving and surfacing, a tail fluke lifting out of the water, a dorsal fin cutting through, and waves in three blues broken into panes by fine gold lines. Every nail is edged in gold, so the set looks framed. The almond shape suits the long curve of the whales. It is calm, a little grand, and the sort of thing a marine biologist would wear to a wedding.

The orcas are painted by hand and the gold lines are drawn one at a time with a liner brush, which is why the panes never quite repeat.
