The little details

These matte press on nails are autumn in a quiet palette: velvet-matte cream, deep teal and burnt orange, drawn in clean bands and outlines like a kimono pattern, with hand-painted terracotta flowers on the teal nails and small clusters of gold beads at the cuticles. Fine black lines run from each orange band down the cream nails, some of them strung with more gold beads and champagne crystals, and every flower has three tiny gold dots at its heart. Not a hint of gloss: the finish is soft as suede. The coffin shape keeps the lines crisp.

Every stripe is painted by hand and every bead set one at a time, so the set has the calm precision of good tailoring.
